ECONOMAX D

Description:
M&R's entry level dryer that works perfect for plastisol printing. Can handle both manual presses and the M&R Diamondback.

Defined purpose:

Textile Dryers are designed to cure/dry textile inks on textile substrates, as more fully set forth in the manual specific to that product. Any other use of this equipment is not permitted.

Plastisol- Heat cures plastisol by creating a chemical bond (crosslink) between plastisol molecules, rather than by evaporation.
Byproducts of the curing process are vented out the exhaust duct.

Options on elements:
You can order the Economax D with two or three radiant panels.

Options on in feed:
You can order the dryer with an extra 2 (24) of in feed. This is the max you can add. No additional delivery can be added. Cost of $400.00.

Table top option:
Dryer can be ordered with short legs to be setup on a table. This item code is ECMXD-LEGS and runs $210.00 per set with no crating fee.

Power needed to run this dryer:
Two element option: 208/230 1 phase, 208/230 3 phase, 400 3 phase.
Three element option: 208/230 3 phase, 400 3 phase.

Defined purpose:
This dryer is for curing plastisol screen print inks.

Production:
The Economax 2 panel option can produce up to 25 dozen per hour which equates out to 300 pph.
The Economax 3 panel option can produce up to 35 dozen per hour which equates out to 420 pph.

Size:
The Economax can fit through a 31¨ door with legs folded in.
Overall footprint is 33¨ wide by 94¨ long.

Exhausting:
Air can be exhausted through the stack located on the top of dryer. There is a blower that can exhaust 3964 l/min (140 cfm)
There is a damper for exhausting plastisol byproducts.
Below is the proper damper setting for plasitsol.
The damper has 16 settings. When closed the heat is not able to escape fast enough and may affect the life of the blower. When running the damper fully open you may affect the ambient temp inside dryer.

Curing/Drying Plastisol Inks:
Plastisol inks will not air dry or permanently adhere to garments unless fused with heat. Results vary by temperature.
1. 110 degrees F (43.3 degrees C): the fusion process begins
2. 125 degrees F (51.6 degrees C): the ink viscosity will decrease to its lowest point and the ink surface begins to flow or level
3. 240 degrees F (115.5 degrees C): plastisol begins to gel (this temperature range is typical for printing transfers)
4. 325 to 350 degrees F (162.7 ¡V 176.6 degrees C): the typical fusion temperature for plastisol inks (consult your ink manufacturer for more accurate specifications)

Gates:
The Economax has gates on both the infeed and outfeed and can be adjusted.
Adjustable entry/exit openings helps maintain consistent temperature in breezy areas.

Belt tracking:
The Economax has crowned rollers which greatly improve belt tracking and life of belt.

Temp control:
Fuzzy-Logic controller ensures consistency by keeping heat within 1¢X of target temperature at the thermocouple.
Electronic fuzzy-logic temperature controller: fuzzy logic is a term used in describing how a digital controller processes information to maintain a constant and precise set temperature. The controller actually learns from patterns in temperature variations depending on shop conditions, and allows it to anticipate/learn when to turn off the power off and back on to the infrared panels in order to maintain a set value as accurately as possible. These units are very sophisticated and how they work. It's kind of like trying to maintain a certain speed in your car on a hilly road. Your logic tells you when going down the hill you need to let off the gas sooner so you don't go beyond the set speed, and as you come up the hill you need to give it the gas
sooner to maintain the speed. The timing of when you perform these on and off actions are based on your driving experience. The same goes for these fuzzy-logic temperature controllers, they're constantly learning every day they're used in production.
Fully digital temp control.
PID (Proportional Integral Differential) helps maintain even temperatures during production by phasing on and off rather than using the full-load/no-load approach

Cool down:
After the dryer has been turned off, the blowers and belt will continue to run until the heat chamber has cooled. Once chamber is cooled the dryer shuts off.

Warranty:
Two year limited warranty on all parts.

Lesser known facts:
Cool skin technology leaves dryer cool to touch. Less energy escaping means increased efficiency.
Dryer is UL listed.
Dryer can be ordered in metric.
Belt speed control is just for reference.
Most efficient dryer in its price range.
Can be used in conjunction with a Diamondback.
Run the dryer with belt un-tensioned to allow belt to expand prior to tensioning.
