Problems Using Design Lab And Rival Art (Locked SVG Data)

The Problem:

If you are trying to work with a Rival art template in Corel and Design lab you may run into issues with Design Lab being unable to:

1. Create and Underbase or

2. Separate effectively or

3. Create a usable color pallette

These issues are caused by hidden data in the Rival Art template design.

The Fix:

1. In Corel, go to 'Tools'  Open up the 'Object Manager'

2. This will appear on the right side of your screen and contains all the data in the design. Under the 'layers' there will be a (+) to open all data for any particular part of the design. Press this to open up the data segments.

3. Look for anything that says "Locked SVG data". This is unnecessary information and needs to be unlocked and deleted. It wil not compromise the design but creates issues with Design Lab.

               a) to unlock right click on the "Locked SVG data"  and unlock data. Then delete.

4. Now you are good to go using Rival Art and Design Lab.
